Curiosity needs to be motivated for continued learning; therefore, wondering or not can be explained as an effective situation by the environment. At this point, while a supportive environment can be a developer; As a preventive factor, it can also create a stopping and regressive effect in dealing with the subjects that one is curious about.

For example, if the people around the child say that being too curious is a bad thing, the child may also be reluctant to learn, thinking that being curious will be a bad thing, and may think that he is too curious as the reason for the bad things that happen to him.

Children who are interested and curious about their surroundings from a young age; when they grow up and start talking, they ask more questions about the subjects they are curious about, their desire to learn increases; It is not a condition that knowledge will be useful or not. They are generally curious about what is different, that is, what is foreign. In addition, they may try to make sense of what the people they do not know or meet for the first time are doing at that moment, and try to establish cause-effect relationships.

Curiosity also gives us information about the child’s relationship with the outside world. As he grows up, the child, who knows more people, things, environments and gains experience, needs to know more. They have a lot of curiosity about the movements of the animals around them, the way they eat, what their parents do, why they sleep in the same place, why their father goes to work, why they need to take a bath and why their nails need to be trimmed. Increasing questions like these can be asked around 2 years old. It is an important stage in the psychological development of the child who wants to understand the world outside. It is very important for the parents to answer these questions with creativity and contribute to the mental and psychological development of the child.

Apart from asking questions, children also reflect this interest and concern by researching, observing or expressing them with their behaviors. In addition, children love to listen to background stories about mom, dad and themselves. They wonder; how she was born, where she was before she was born, what kind of baby she was, how her parents got married, how her mother was when she was pregnant, how she was standing inside her mother’s womb.. etc. Even if they don’t say it, they want to hear their parents’ feelings, how much they love them, whether they are angry or not. This is true for other emotions as well, sometimes because of their young age, parents don’t explain things because they think they don’t understand; however, children need to know, the more they know, the more confident they are about their parents’ feelings and the lesser their anxiety.
